Sphagnopsida

The Sphagnopsida includes a single subclass Sphagnidae, with three orders. The order Sphagnales contains only the genus Sphagnum, with all but two of the species. The order Ambuchananiales contains a single living species, and Protosphagnales contains a single fossil species.
